There are a whole lot of recipes to choose from if you want a cholesterol free diet. Fried foods are not allowed in this diet. If you have a craving for chicken, grill it or bake it so that you can control your cholesterol level. For dessert, if you cannot give it up totally, choose ones that are fat-free. There are also various fat-free products such as salads, margarines, low-fat meats and sugar-free products for your consumption and yes, they sometimes taste good too.

Hereditary is one of the reasons why some people have heart disease. But having a cholesterol free diet lowers the possibility of a heart attack. Aside from having a cholesterol free diet, regular exercise is important too. One doesn't have to run a marathon to have an acceptable cholesterol level. A 30-minute walk brings down the cholesterol level. Early morning or evening walks are highly recommended. Swimming or doing aerobics is also effective. Just choose the exercise that fits your lifestyle.

Having too much cholesterol in the bloodstream will lead to clots and will eventually lead to heart problems. Everybody is at risk of heart attacks if he doesn't have a cholesterol free diet or the cholesterol intake is not controlled. Studies show that women have a fifty percent higher chance of having heart disease or stroke than men. However, men should not feel safe because if they don't control what they eat, they might end up having heart disease.

The first hint of having a high cholesterol level is being overweight. You should watch your weight constantly and make sure it is at a normal level. Many people die because they don't have an idea on how to have a cholesterol free diet, or worse, they don't have any knowledge that their cholesterol has already reached a dangerous level. All these cholesterol-related problems will be avoided if you observe  good eating habits and eventually, save your life.

Today, there are already medicines available in the market which can reduce your cholesterol. But eating right and proper exercise are still the best protection against heart disease. Remember an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure. So, start having a cholesterol free diet now and you will be thankful that you did.
